From 30 June to 11 July 2025, the XII. Summer School of Experimental Surgery will be held in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for pregraduate students of medicine in 3rd and higher year of study. The application is now closed.
Conditions for organizing the Summer School of Experimental Surgery
(hereinafter "SSES")
1. Ordering the course
Applications for SSES organized by the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen of Charles University (hereinafter "FMP") are accepted via the application form on the website. We consider accepted applications to be binding. If the SSES capacity is already full, the SSES manager will notify you.
2. Payment for the course
The educational course is paid for by a transfer to a bank account according to the instructions in the invitation letter, always in advance. As part of the bank transfer, state the variable symbol 2019400 for the correct identification. The price of the course includes tuition fees, accommodation, lunches, excursions and extracurricular activities. The price of the course does not include the costs of obtaining a travel document, visa, health insurance or transport to and from Pilsen in the Czech Republic.
3. Cancellation policy
We accept free cancellation no later than 90 days before the start of the event. If we accept the cancellation less than 90 days before the event, we charge 50% of its price. If we accept the cancellation less than 60 days before the start of the event, we charge 80% of its price. In case of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the event or in case of non-participation, we charge the price in full.
4. Organizational changes
FMP reserves the right to change the lecturer, course date or to cancel the course completely in case of unexpected organizational and operational reasons. The event manager will inform you about all these possible changes in time. The event manager will individually discuss with you the next procedure or possible cancellation of your application.
5. Personal data protection
In accordance with Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, as amended, all data in the application form are collected and processed exclusively for the purpose of sending notifications to a registered user regarding information related to the organization of SSES.
